Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (cabinet.gov.krd) – In a statement, Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani strongly condemned Wednesday's terrorist attack in Kabul and extended condolences to the families of the victims and the Afghan people and government.

Below is the text of Prime Minister Barzani's statement:

I strongly condemn the terror attack that took place in the diplomatic quarter in Kabul on Wednesday, which killed and wounded scores of civilians.

We extend our condolences to the families of the victims, and the people and government of Afghanistan, while wishing prompt recovery for the wounded victims.

I hope the international community will increase its cooperation in confronting terrorism and its dark ideology.
