Erbil, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (cabinet.gov.krd) – Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani received Islamic Republic of Iran’s Ambassador to Iraq, Mr. Iraj Masjedi.

In the meeting, also attended by Iranian Consul General in Erbil, Mr. Murtaza Ebadi, the two sides discussed trade relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Ambassador Masjedi is in Erbil to attend a conference on the development of economic relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Kurdistan Region, to be held by the Kurdistan Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry.

The two-day conference is scheduled for tomorrow Wednesday, and expected to be attended by senior officials, including Iran’s Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Dr. Mohammad Shariatmadari, and Iraq's Minister of Industry and Minerals, Mr. Mohammed Al-Sudani.
